The Best Friendships are…| National Best Friend’s Day 2017

Apparently, it is National Best Friend’s Day somewhere in the world. So this post is dedicated to my best friends Sheneil, Emily, and Corinna (primary school besties).

Whether you have best friends or just really close friendships, both relationships are equally important. During our lives, we’ll go through lots of friends and only a few are special enough to last forever. With that said, here is my opinion of the best kind of friendship:

The best friendships are effortless. They don’t require work like a relationship or involve politics or silly arguments.

The best friendships are when the issues resolve themselves. Give it five minutes, a day, week, or month, it will happen and whatever happened is never as big as what the friendship is worth to both of you.

The best friendships are the ones that continue where they left off. Time can pass but it never makes a difference.

The best friendships are when you understand each other. You know what makes them happy, what makes them sad. You understand that they sometimes need support and encouragement. And they can give that back to you when you need it.

The best friendships are the ones where they call you up any time of the day or night because they know you’re upset and want to make sure you’re alright.

The best friendships have been through the good, the bad and the ugly. It’s been through tears and heartbreak. But no matter what, you will always be there for each other.

The best friendships are full of giggles and laughter. It’s full of silly moments and it’s full of moments that will last forever.

The best friendships are the best because they are exactly that; the best.

I think friendships are one of the most important relationships we have in our lives. I feel so fortunate in having friendships that are like what I’ve described above. I have two amazing best friends as well as other amazing friendships that are full of support and encouragement- I couldn’t ask for anything better.

With that said, let me introduce you to my two best friends:

I’ve been friends with Sheneil (middle) for around 5/6 years now. She is the strongest, most determined and confident person I know. She inspires me in everything that I do and encourages me to achieve my best. She constantly surprises me and as her friend, I am in awe of her.

My friendship with Emily (left) is one where half the time we are in a fit of giggles. There comes a point in the day or night where we just go crazy! (There’s evidence here.) I’ve been friends with Emily for 6 years now and I don’t think I could imagine not being friends with her. She might not look it but she is so full of drive, she knows what she wants to do and she’s much braver than I am. She’s too great to describe so you can just feel jealous that I have great best friends.

For all my other friends I didn’t mention, you guys are all great too. I love you just as much and you’re all special. (Love you, Jade :P) (Love you too, Ikrah x) (I feel like I should just list everyone now).
